Genesis Be
“My goal with my word & my art, is to bring human dignity to the forefront of our divided World."
Genesis Be is a critically acclaimed musical artist, painter, and public speaker from Biloxi, Mississippi. Her music catalog boasts eight original albums, and her work has been featured in Billboard, Yahoo Music, the LA Times, VICE, and more. A graduate from NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music and the global ambassador for Moral Courage, Genesis incorporates themes of social justice, sensuality, and abstract minimalism in both her visual art pieces and her music.
Her premiere solo art exhibit, People Not Things, debuted in March 2019 in Los Angeles and opened in Brooklyn’s Bishop Gallery that August. Since then, she has nearly sold out solo shows in L.A. and Brooklyn, placing her work in major collections. Her unique perspective explores and challenges our concepts of humanity, exploitation, race dynamics, queer identity, and sensuality using multimedia.
